Robert Bilott is a junior partner in a prestigious law firm in Cincinnati, Specializing in litigation in chemical companies. At the beginning of the story, a farmer from his hometown in West Virginia addresses the hero. The man convinces Robert to “fight” with DuPont, which, in his opinion, poisons the local lands. In addition, compatriot Bilott is convinced that the harmful emissions of DuPont are the reason for the mass death of livestock in the district.
